SHIVA ARATI
Sung by the music ensemble in Gurudev Siddha Peeth

CHANT: Om Namo Bhagavate Muktanandaya –  Jhinjyoti raga

This classic chant, sung in the Jhinjhoti raga, expresses gratitude and love for Baba Muktananda, the one who has attained the bliss of freedom. The recording was made during the October 1991 celebration in Shree Muktananda Ashram in honor of Baba Muktananda’s Mahasamadhi. Because the chant has been sung with this raga for many years in Gurudev Siddha Peeth, the Siddha Yoga ashram in India, it is often called “the Ganeshpuri version”.

MEDITATION Instructions given by Gurumayi Chidvilasananda

These instructions given by Gurumayi lead the meditator gently and naturally into Siddha Yoga meditation. Gurumayi teaches meditation posture, yogic breathing, and mantra repetition. Following Gurumayi’s instructions, we will meditate  accompanied by the calming sounds of the tamboura.
