Siddha Yoga Satsang in Honor of Baba Muktananda’s Mahasamadhi

October 4
11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

This satsang in honor of Baba Muktananda’s Mahasamadhi includes elements that have become a tradition for this celebration on the Siddha Yoga path – listening to the recording Gurumayi Chidvilasananda singing Tukaram’s abhanga Deva Mazha Mi Devatsa (“God is mine and I am God’s”), chanting and meditating, darshan and dakshina.

Chant: Om Namo Bhagavate Muktanandaya (Jhinjyoti raga)

This classic chant, sung in the Jhinjhoti raga, expresses gratitude and love for Baba Muktananda, the one who has attained the bliss of freedom. The recording was made during the October 1991 celebration in Shree Muktananda Ashram in honor of Baba Muktananda’s Mahasamadhi. Because the chant has been sung with this raga for many years in Gurudev Siddha Peeth, the Siddha Yoga ashram in India, it is often called “the Ganeshpuri version”.
